Data protection

FBT Attorneys-at-law has implemented and enforced a Data Protection Policy that governs (i) processing of personal data, (ii) security of data processing and (iii) access to processed data.

FBT Data Protection Policy:

1. FBT Attorneys-at-law may collect your personal data in different contexts, including business contacts, collaboration and partnership, recruitment purposes, or when you visit the FBT Attorneys-at-law website.

2. FBT Attorneys-at-law collects only the information that is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary for data processing purposes.

3. Your personal data is only processed for specific purposes. Personal data collected in view of or within the context of a business relationship with FBT Attorneys-at-law can be used for the purposes of sending specific legal information, event invitations, or information about FBT Attorneys-at-law and its services.

4. All persons having access to your personal data within FBT Attorneys-at-law will be bound to confidentiality. When using other service providers, especially in the information technology field, FBT Attorneys-at-law ensures that these service providers are bound by the same confidentiality obligations.

5. FBT Attorneys-at-law ensures your personal data remains safe and secure by taking cybersecurity measures.

6. Your personal data is stored according to the following modalities, depending on the data type:

– Client’s personal data: personal data contained in FBT Attorneys-at-law electronic databases is deleted within 3 years after the end of the contractual relationship, and archived and stored as physical records for 10 years.

– Candidate’s personal data: all data related to a recruitment process is stored for the time period necessary for data processing activities and, in the event the candidate is not hired or leaves FBT Attorneys-at-law, the data will be deleted after a period of 3 years following the date of the last contact.

7. You have the right to access, modify and/or delete your personal data at any time, as well as the possibility to ask any question regarding the processing of your personal data, by contacting us by mail or by going in person to our offices in Geneva or Paris:

All requests must be accompanied by an identity document.

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal data.

The person in charge of the file is required to respond within a maximum of 2 months following the date of receipt of your request. If the request is incomplete (e.g. absence of a formal identity document), the person in charge has the right to request additional documents, in which case the deadline is suspended and runs again once these documents are provided.

8. When FBT sends you periodic communications (newsletters), whether in paper or electronic format, you have the right to unsubscribe from these communications at any time.

If these communications are sent by email, you can simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email, send your request to the address info@fbt.chor contact FBT Attorneys-at-law by phone or by mail to one of the addresses mentioned under point 7 above.
